For each satellite listed there is a description and a photo (when available). And our dataset is maintained by pros so we only track the most interesting of the 100's of visible satellites.

As an educational tool for casual sky watchers, Satellite Flybys beats the others hands down. And if you are an avid satellite spotter, this app is a good way to introduce others to your hobby. Also, unlike some of the other satellite spotting apps, the flyby predictions are stored so they are available offline. That's important if you go out to a nice dark sky area to view flybys and don't happen to have cell coverage there.
