Our app was a finalist in the Adobe/Sony Air App Challenge, where we had the great honor of being selected as a recommended App by Sony.
Insta Spanish Kids Lessons for Android is a fun and colorful educational app which presents 6 Spanish teaching lessons for children, with over 300 individual pages of audio visual activities in Spanish and English. Great for homeschool families, Montessori toddlers, and kids of all ages. Our app includes a fun game where kids use the pesos they've earned to dress an adorable donkey. Lesson subjects include:
- Colors- Animals- Family Words- Weather- Telling Time- Body Parts There are 2 bonus sections: The La Cucaracha Song lesson with a full length song animation, and a Spanish Alphabet page where the child can explore words associated to the sounds of the alphabet.

About the La Cucaracha Song Lesson:
Taken from our highly acclaimed Spanish teaching program, Musical Spanish, this lesson features a newly updated song animation with Spanish and English. We use phrases from the song to help introduce Spanish words and sounds. Helps generate enthusiasm for Spanish among people of all ages!
Our Teaching Method: Play to Learn:
Our app falls into the "play to learn" category, with fun activities that engage the child in ACTIVE learning, with a variety of different types of learning and play methods used for each set of vocabulary words.
Our user interface was designed to be both kid and parent friendly. We've also strived to add some customization, such as turning the letter hints ON and OFF for the scrambled words, and the English and Spanish lyrics ON and OFF during the La Cucaracha song animation.
Encouraging Success through Peso Scoring System:
We found that our kids responded really well to the addition of a scoring system that rewards the child with a peso for each correct answer, and let's them use these pesos to play a colorful the Dress the Donkey game.
Future Plans for Our App:
We hope to integrate our app with a progress tracking service where each child can have a unique login, and you can opt to receive weekly reports about how much time they spend working on each lesson. We also play to make many more lesson subjects available.
About This App:
We are a small family company (1 mom, 1 dad, 2 kids, and 2 grandmas all helping with development!) - and produced this app because our kids loved using their Papa Mel's Nook Android device, along with the iPad. We wanted to create something fun and unique for them. We will be adding many enhancements to this app in the near future, and we hope to hear suggestions and feedback from users so that we can help make our app the best it can be.
