Local uses location services to get your current location. And, provides a list of place categories. It will display the places based on the search keyword, you entered and the place category, you selected.

This application is tested for battery usage, and it does not need your location service to be switched on. As soon as, the application gets the location you can turn off the location services. It will ask to turn on the location service, but it will run, if you dismiss the notification dialog.

All the information are fetched from Google, so, if any information is wrong, then this application cannot be hold responsible for that.
